Breakfast of Champions.

No not Wheaties, but close. I imagine Venus Williams had a similar breakfast the morning she won the Wimbledon. Maybe not, I just thought it was totally random and kinda funny this morning when Mari and I where eating breakfast and we look over to see that Cash had a tennis ball in his dish and was totally eating around it. Of course I had to snap a picture of him eating around the ball to share with you all. Such a silly pup. On another note, Zach and I finally had our engagement pictures taken last night at the Grand Basin, right below the Art Museum. It turned out to be a beautiful night for the pictures. I'll have to share with you all when we get them back, of course I will include the dialog going on between Zach and me during the 'photo shoot'. Well I guess you can say this is a very random entry today, I wish you all the best- Steph, good luck with the job hunt, I'm glad the move and your party all went well. Still trying to figure out if we can make it up at the end of the month. Happy Thursday ya'll. AMF!

Happy 4th of July!

Happy Independence Day America! Hope you all are enjoying this American tradition! This is a picture from downtown StL, the Old Courthouse with the Arch in the background! I just love the 4th!

Hi

Hi, just wanted to say hi, not much to report here. It's a holiday week so of course Monday starts as Monday but feels like Friday by the end of the day. If that makes sense. That's all I have. Hope all is well with you all! AMF

New Job

Day three at the new job and still LOVE it! I lucked out big time- just thought to fill you all in. Not much more to report, Zach and I had our inspection last night, I think he is feeling a little over-whelmed. It's an old house so of course there are going to be a few things. Overall the structure of the home and garage are great! The roof- top notch! So the other stuff well, it can be taken care of, I hope it all works out! AMF.

Holy Shit, We Did It!

OMG, I know I haven't blogged about it but Zach and I have been looking for a house since March, with no luck. Then with the lay off, we took a break from the whole house hunt thing. Wouldn't you know, it happened, we found one! Actually put the contract in and they have accepted- HOLY SHIT! Are we really growing up? And the funny thing about it, if you go out the back gate, up the alley 5 houses and go in the gate on the other side, it's the Hunsaker House (Anne & TJ who just married) & the same neighborhood as Mar still- which is always all good in the hood, it's like the freakin' UD Ghetto! Now all we need is for Allison and Jim to find one in the hood too! Any who, we are super excited about all of this and just hope that the rest of this process goes smoothly. I'll keep you updated. Damn, what a freakin' week- and I start my new job tomorrow (I'm a little more than nervous!)! I'll keep you updated on all of the above, hope everyone has had an amazing weekend! AMF.

yum.

So while at the lake I tried the new Land Shark Lager. Jimmy Buffet is marketing this bad boy. I love the package design of this and all of the marketing they are doing, however, my only gripe about the design and the beer: I wish they would have spent a little more money on the bottle and had the label painted on, if you get one, you'll know exactly what I am talking about. Oh and the cap has a clever little saying on the top "pry off", thought that was a fun little touch. Overall, let me tell you it is good, surprisingly smooth and refreshing. If you see it, order at least one, or pick up a 6, it's worth trying. Not to mention refreshing on a hot summer day. Go get ya' some and enjoy!

Dan & Libby

A picture of my bro-in-law and my niece Libby at the lake last week. We had such a wonderful time- very relaxing! The week went by way too quickly, I can't believe I start my new job Monday. Hope everyone had a wonderful week! AMF

Best Wedding Ever!

OMG! Anne and TJ, Congrats! I honestly believe this was the most fun wedding I have ever been to or in. Obviously a reflection of the bride and groom! It was so good to see so many UD friends and to be a part of the celebration! Did I mention how absolutely beautiful Anne looked? Seriously, gorgeous would be an understatement. Best Wishes to the Hunsakers! I'll post more fun pictures soon! P.S. Anne just told me they recieved a thank you note from the band! What!? That's how freakin' fun, CRAZY GOOD TIMES! CHEERS!

Mama's going back to work!

Don't be sad Money, it's a good thing. I've loved being home with you, my stay at home pup, and as much as I would love to continue to spend my days hanging out on the porch with you and just being around, it's time. I love you, please don't eat my shoes when I go, I would hate to have to crate you again. We have come so far, well accept for that one sandal you decided for some reason to kill last week. Enjoy the peace and quite while lounging in the lazy boy all day (i know all your secrets now!). Hopefully we can do this again buddy, but hopefully different circumstances. I love you Cash, my handsome hound!

$$$ YIKES

My computer is going in to the doc to get repaired (maybe) I guess with how much I have been on this bad boy daily, the top case has warped from the heat and my wrist resting on it as well. Which for all you MBP peeps, you know then that I cannot eject a CD because the case has warped down over the slot. JOY! Can't wait to hear how much this will cost... why did I buy extended Apple Care again? I only say that because they have warned me that it can be listed as abuse and that is not covered by warranty. When did I buy this computer again, oh yeah, Feb 07, it's about 5 months old. Fuckers, and it's probably going to cost about 600-800 bucks to fix out of warranty. So any who, just wanted to let you all know that it is not me just being lazy, which is possible, it's just no computer. Have a great weekend everyone! AMF

Put me in coach!

Halla!!! I got a job offer yesterday and accepted it today! I am so stoked! They actually bought a church and are in process of renovating it now, wow it's amazing! Not to mention all the people are so kick ass and mainly dudes. Not that I am looking because we all know that is not the case, I have my big day in less than a year, but it's good because I will not walk into work every morning feeling like I am in a 7th grade girls locker room. And no, not because they are all flat chested but because the cattiness and the PMS bullshit excuses and the other shit that goes along with that — Gone! OMG! I am truly pumped. I will have to fill you in when I begin, but it's a good thing and I feel so damn good about all of this! 3 Days till the Big Day Norman! Wow, that's another thing... Miss. Norman is keeping it so cool, I hope I am just like that, she amazes me. I am stoked to see all of you this weekend! Get your drinking shoes laced up, it's going to be UD-rific (yep Udrific, I am a dork, we all know that!) AMF!

My Boys!

I know it's Tuesday, but I am going to blog about this past weekend. First, Lawlor, amazing! So much fun to see you, next time we will have to actually leave the back porch of Gresham! Second, Reds Cards series was last week, OMG, Norman and I sat in these amazing seats Tuesday night, I could spit and it would hit the field... wow! Then Thursday, Zach and I returned to cheer our teams on! Again, great seats, thanks papa! Did I mention, Nick Lachey (sp?) almost caught a foul ball right by us... I had no idea he was there till then. Zach then of course got pissed b/c I just keep looking over at him and his girl friend A.M. (they are super cute!) So that was a BONUS! Friday, all day interview! Went well, cross your fingers! Saturday even better- caught some sun at Lawlor's pool, headed over to the Park with Cash to check out possible rehearsal sites. The day was just gorgeous! See pic (blue sky) Cash actually jumped into the lake with another dog and was playing around, we are so proud of him- maybe he is actually over his fear of water. Zach is super excited as you all can imagine. It means that we may actually have a dog that likes water so he can take him on our imaginary boat and do what ever people do with dogs that love water. But I have to admit, I do enjoy it also. Any who, that's the fast recap of the weekend. Oh and we met with the priest who is to marry us.... AWESOME! It will be perfect! Have a great week everyone! I promise to try to keep up a little bit more on this so there is not this onslaught of information. It's like that email you get that is so long, you don't read it. Sorry. Increase the Peace! AMF

Mrs. Norman (almost)

Can you believe this girl is going to be married next week — here comes the Mrs. and Mr. Norman Hunsaker, LoL. It's crazy just to think about. Did I tell you that the 100 dollar alterations are all f!#ked up, yep... way to go lady, all I needed was the usual (foot cut off the bottom, because I am short) and the stupid ditz took in the sides too, is she crazy. Then when I said, I don't know if I have room to grow, and patted my stomach... she said, oh that's right, your pregers'. UMMMM.....NOOOOOO! But thanks for that fabulous boost of self esteem, totally rocks. Anywho, what I was referring to as 'growing' was the expansion of my tummy from all the food and drinking any UD alumn bridesmaid would partake. Full Cup Flip Cup Anyone? I know a bride who will challenge the best of the best, and win. Cheers Norm and congratulations to you and Joe!

OMG

I am have had so much going on in the last two weeks that I didn't have a chance to even blog- not that I am that great at it anyway. Either way the last two weeks have been full of job interviews and wedding planning. I'm not going to lie, I have kind of gotten used to being home and keeping myself occupied, it's not hard to find shit to do that is for sure. But I guess it's good to get my ass back in the saddle and make some money (before Zach loses his mind). The job hunt is going, well, I hope, I don't think I had this many interviews when I got out of college. However, it's not a bad thing, most of these places are so laid back and comfortable, the thought of nerves really never crosses your mind. I had a full day experience interview today with one company. Totally kick ass! So keep your fingers crossed. I will fill you all in later with more details- OMG, it would just rock!

Indy 2007! Always amazing! I don't think I have recovered yet from the weekend so this will be short. However, don't you worry, there will be plenty to share later this week. Hope you all enjoyed a fabulous Memorial weekend as well!
PS I don't know that guy in the black hat. AMF

#1

"Ozzie "The Wizard of Oz" Smith began his career with the San Diego Padres, but a lopsided trade sent him to St. Louis, where he made his mark as a Cardinal. Smith dazzled fans with his defensive brilliance, clutch hitting and customary backflip that saluted the hometown fans.

For all those who may have grown up in StL, you would appreciate this fun little thing. Yes that's right it's a flipping Ozzie Smith thing (yeah, I don't know what to call it). But it's Sweat!

Heat Up

It's getting warmer here, or should I say, you can start to feel the humidity. Let's just pray the rain holds off for Sunday in Indy- Indy 500!!! Yep, the annual ritual continues, this is the one event Zach and I don't like to miss. Yes, maybe it is a little bit of the 'Hick' in all of us, but truthfully, there is nothing like it. The start of the engines, and the roar of the cars after the pace laps are over, the beer, Mrs. Ike's fried chicken. It's all good! I'm sure I will fill you all in next week, I bet you can't wait.
Oh, and before I forget, a shout out to my nephew Sam- it's his 5th birthday today! Happy Birthday Sam!
Blog later- AMF.

A Kiss For Mama

Cash is so funny, he hangs out on the lazy boy all day. So today I decided to do my work on the floor and sit next to him to see what he would do. Well, I'll tell you, it was probably when I determined there must be at least 3 gallons of cold drool on my shoulder/arm that I decided to take a picture of us. He must have thought I needed to clean up a bit for the pic, then a lean in and a kiss, so smooth for such a big ophf (sp?). He is such a good boy. Did I mention he had his stitches taken out Saturday - his ear looks great, no more meatball grossness! Hopefully that's the last visit to the vet for awhile, lol, we say that every time. Okay- for real- AMF.

Wuz Up

Okay, sorry about the past few days, kinda crazy getting all the job interview shiz-nit going. But here we go, one was this morning. I feel pretty good about my portfolio and the whole process, surprisingly, I am really not all freaked out about it. Of course I had my nervous stomach this morning, but it's all good, I expected that to happen, it always does. Also, I had a ciggy, of course, this morning, but not after I was dressed to go to the interview - impressed yet? If not, this one is sure to get you – first I used this thing, a blow dryer I believe, on my hair. It was crazy that it can dry hair so quickly, I may convert. I think not. Finally, this will just blow your mind, I straightened my hair! AHHHHHHH! Man I feel like a woman!!! No make up though, I just couldn't risk looking like a fem-bot. I don't wear that shit normally, honestly, I really don't know how it all works. Thus, I'm not interviewing for the Ringling Bros. so I opted out of the makeup dept. this am. I should probably get on that though at some point in my life. Any-who-da-whater, wish me luck, I am so broke and need to work! I miss work, these stay at home pups are boring! Well that's about all for me today, AMF!

Who's your doggie?

This is my dog Cash, it was a gorgeous day and I just could not pass up taking some pics of the 'stay at home pups'. I am a real nerd sometimes, hopefully I start working again soon, not to say I'm not enjoying my time off, but it's time.

Does Watson's really have all the fun?

The 90's

I could not resist posting this commercial from the 90's. Yeah, it's kind of an inside joke but everyone can still appreciate LA GEARS, and remember the key chains that where attached to the laces? Right on, so Rodger Rabbit your way back to 1990, and don't forget your LA GEARS!

Monday, May 14, 2007

So I totally Googled, 'you're my boy blue', watched a little clipped. Thought to myself, that movie was pretty funny, I should watch it again soon. Then in the corner of my eye I spotted it, Will Ferrell, sitting on a stool with only a mic. "Okay, this should be good" I thought to myself, with in a moment, thought, wow, Gap totally should have done something like this for a commercial, how great, too bad SNL snagged that. Did you watch it yet? So two lessons here, I live in the mid-west, which I was reminded of how highly everyone else in the world thinks of us when I realized why I would not have seen this kick ass commercial for Gap. And thank you Gap, because it's mainly mid-west girls that buy your stuff. Let's face it, you're shit's not that hip or cool any more (at least not this season), but seriously, throw a kick ass commercial like that at me and i promise, I'll be in the store in a week to check out the goods (def. online with in a couple of days). Second lesson, it's not that hard to think Will Farrell may have come up with that and did it on a whim, maybe at his daughter's birthday party, but SNL? What was I thinking.

P.S. I'll admit it, I totally shop the Gap, I'm just being a bitch.

YIKES!

Okay, first, ouch! Second, look at that chick's face - wow, there may be some issues there.

I found this picture today online and just had to post it, for many reasons. They really don't matter, but please allow me to point out a few points of interest in this picture. There is the obvious and as I have already noted, crazy's (both are pretty good) face, but there is a third which really sealed the deal for me. Those familiar with the University of Dayton may have already noticed, the "X" on the hand! Do you think that's freshman (thurs.) night at Tims? Just a thought, I have a feeling we could see this picture again.

Allow me to introduce Cash the dog.

Cash the dog. I'll probably post a lot about this monster. Zach and I rescued him last August, we like to think he picked us. He is the best dog ever (most of the time), his name he received b/c he is our 'man in black'. Since I have been spending more time at home lately, I have gained an interesting insight into a day in the life of a stay at home pup. Sometimes I look over from doing my work and I just have to capture that moment. I'm sure there will be many more to come.

1

My first blog. This should be interesting, that's for sure.
